DECEMBER DAILY FINAL PAGES

I did it! Only five days into the new year it took me to complete my first December Daily. It was a bit touch and go for awhile, there are a few days with no photos but I’m okay with the memories I captured. Here is a look at the final pages.

15th – Jennifer, Audrey, mom and I went to see the Nutcracker. It was a fun time with just the girls. I thought the show was a bit different. There were a couple scenes I remember differently from other performances.

17th – We went to our office Christmas party. Audrey and Rylee joined us and were a joy to have with us. Everyone knows them, so both girls were comfortable during the night. Audrey enjoyed decorating cookies. Nicholas took the picture of the gingerbread man above. He knows how to use back button focusing. Rylee, was patient while a co-worker and I dressed her up in lights for the cover of our office Christmas card.

20th – We had a bit of snow. It was the last day of school before the holiday but they kept school in session. Didn’t want to lose a snow day later in the year for a three hour school day. The snow was gone by mid-day.

21st – Pictures with Santa! Doesn’t my sister look thrilled. I have no idea how many years Jennifer and I have been getting our picture taken with Santa. Did you notice the date? We are four whole days before Christmas. There have been years we’ve waited in the line on Christmas Eve. Why do we do this… because of our dad. Favorite gift from his girls each year.

Ben and Nicholas sat on Santa’s lap too. The look on Santa’s face is priceless. Oh to know what Ben is asking him for. Still have a journaling card to fill.

And here is the big day in photos.

I plan on journaling in the circle brush.

Who’s idea was it to bring out Twister? Haven’t laughed this hard in a long time.

A couple things to remember next year:

  • journal more, pictures can only say so much
  • capture more of the everyday
  • use more pictures from my husband
  • ask the boys to write a bit

And there it is, my first December Daily. Thank you Ali Edwards for a great project. Now on to One Little Word.
